An exhilirating and
white-knuckle drive!

After the scary drive,
see how they made a dash for the restrooms! |
I decided to use the
outdoor ablutions ...
(Just
kidding!) |
Next stop : Buffalo Bill Historical
Center
Word of warning : You need an entire day to explore
and appreciate this museum.
We tried to fit in as much as we
could in the couple of hours we spent there.
"Charge of the
Cavalry" was one of the most beautiful castings I have ever seen.
The
coach and wagon below reminded me how difficult transport was
way back then.

A display of
Buffalo Bill's costumes and decorated
saddle

|

|
Had Robert been with us,
he would still be looking at the 2700 firearms!
|

|

|
The
above display of an Indian couple and their children
was eye-catching.

|
Though it was
interesting to see the different animals, I kind of would have
preferred them to be still alive and roaming the
parks

|

|
OK, I guess this
needs explaining ... in my quest to meet a cowboy, we came across
Rodeo Rider Cody Nash. He was giving a demonstration at the
museum on rodeo riding.
I promise I didn't ask
him to pose with me and I swear he put his arm around me
first!

Just out of town, we stopped at the
Buffalo Bill Dam
